1. How much does taking a course online cost?
We charge a tuition of $50 for each course paid in full, or $15 a month for four months if paying monthly. Compare this to the cost of attending some of the better known summer leadership camps using our cost matrix.
2. Do you offer group discounts on tuition?Yes. We offer discounts based on the number of students enrolling from each group. To find out more information please use the group registration link on the front page of this site.
3. Do you offer scholarships for the cost of tuition?
Yes we offer scholarships based on need. If you have a financial hardship that makes covering the cost of tuition difficult, please send an email to bandleadership@mail.com
4. How is taking a course online different from my classroom instruction?
Online classes provide exciting opportunities for people who are constrained by time, place, or other factors. One of the best advantages of online classes is flexibility. A student can take the course any time during the day or week. You will still have access to the instructors as well as other students using our online system and tools.
5. Do I receive a grade for the courses I take?
You may receive a grade in the courses you take (sometimes just pass or fail) but the grade has no bearing on anything other than this online course. That means that the grade you receive will not show up on any report cards, school documents, or transcripts, and is solely for your benefit in accessing your performance in the online course. In certain cases band directors will request reports on students they require to take this course to determine if they successfully completed the course. In those cases a band director will be provided a list of only their students who have passed.
6. If I sign up for a class do I have to finish it?
What you do in each online course you take is up to you. If you do not want to finish the course you are under no obligation to do so. We do however encourage you to try and complete a course if you start it so that you are exposed to all the material and instruction presented.

8. How long are the courses?
The courses vary in length depending on the topic and the session. Generally courses offered during the Fall and Spring semesters are 15 weeks long, while the summer courses are 8-10 weeks long.
